The story is set in a timeline in the future, where humans have contacted various types of alien life, and through that contact, they formed relationships with these species. Hundreds of years later, a federation was born between an alliance of humans and these alien races, this federation was called the Galactic Federate Union.
Meet the characters from the Children of Jambheria comic book.
Tyler Kervain
Race: Jambherian
A descendant of the ancient civilization of Jamberí. As with all Jamberians he has a marking, tattoo on his right arm, the marking that Tyler has, is a K-04 in Jamberian markings. He also has two silver lines that run horizontally each of his cheeks. These are side effect of the Nanoites have on this species.
Tyler is very able in hand to hand combat, he has inherited the secret martial art of Jamberí, through his master and mentor. Tyler has mastered various aspects of the martial arts, Jambitsu, which combines martial arts, magic and energy to create devastating attacks. He usually uses fire based energy techniques, earning him nicknames such as “Smoking Gun” or “Silver Ember” but he has mastered other elements as well, which usually gives him an advantage over his opponents.
Tyler is also a relic hunter and makes a living by recovering lost artifacts from ruins on alien worlds, but his ultimate goal is to recover information on the whereabouts of the Jewel and the Book of Jamberí, so that he can discover the real truth to what happened to his parents during the Procestian war.
Sheri “Cherry” Truvil
Race: Jambherian
Also a descendant of the ancient civilization of Jamberí. She also has a Jamberian marking on her right arm, hers is T-03 and she has this cherry coloured lines running horizontally across each of her cheeks.
Sheri is also a relic hunter like Tyler and she too travels the galaxy in search of the lost relics of Jamberí so that she can learn about what happened to her family during the Procestian war.
She has also inherited the art of Jambitsu, and Tyler is her makeshift mentor, teaching her how to use the style, she is able to use lethal techniques and she likes to use wind and water based techniques, earning her nicknames apart from her actual nickname “Cherry” some such as “Cherry Tempest” or “Ruby Tsunami” and thanks to Tyler she is honing her skills with other elements as well.
James “Risky” Reynolds
Race: Human
James was once a top class military pilot in the GFU, serving for about 10 years, but was discharged when he disobeyed a direct order to abandon his unit due to a dangerous sandstorm on a distant planet after they went to investigate a strange energy source, even though he was discharged for saving his unit from certain death, he still enjoys flying and is dedicating his life to traveling and meeting new people, races and having all sorts of adventures helping people out and being free.
He has learned military grade hand to hand combat, fire arms and strategies, making him a valuable member of any team, he is also a master pilot and knows every trick in the book about flying.
He earned the nickname “Risky” during one of his first missions with the GFU. He was flying a land cruiser with his captain and he made the decision to change the strategy of the mission, he gambled on it and it worked out for him, his captain was furious but impressed and he started calling him “Risky” Reynolds.
Sarah Jarrett
Race: Human
Sarah was part of a special program developed by the GFU in it’s early stages called the Method 5 program, where they would use augmented implants and full armored body suits on the soldiers that were chosen for the program, they also wired their brains to a central system to help the GFU keep control of their special assassins and feed them vital information for their mission. The Method 5 assassins are the GFU’s last resort in defense, and are only called out for missions that even the GFU doesn’t want to take on. The ones who are chosen for the program lose their dignity and their free will, becoming a tool for the GFU to use at its will.
After Sarah’s transformation was complete, she began to feel strange and during her first Method 5 mission she managed to break free from the mind control, and was able to regain her memories and her mind, after that she went rogue, hiding from the GFU and making a living as a mercenary or as an assassin for hire, in a bid to find James.
Sarah and James shared a complicated past, which started when they were in the academy, they shared a passionate and romantic past, as Sarah was called up for the Method 5 program, they both felt that it was going to be the last time that they were going to see each other, so James gave her an emerald necklace to remember him by, which she keeps to this very day.
Sarah is an expert in hand to hand combat and excels at all types of fire arms, thanks to her implants and her skin tight body suit, she is able to best even the strongest brute with ease, also her body suit can grant her temporal invisibility and her implants also make her stronger, faster and her reactions are second to none.
Liza Felis
Race: Econite
Liza has a medium sized tail, she also has medium pointy ears, cat like eyes which are green in her human form and yellow in her animal form, she also has long purple colored hair and a small black star tattoo under her right eye, which appears as well when she is in her animal form.
She is considered one of the best healers on her home world, she is always striving to create new healing techniques and medicines to help heal her kin, but she has always wanted to travel the galaxies in search of new cures and remedies, as well as her interest in alien behaviors and physiology.
She is an expert in hand to hand combat and she also excels in sword play, she loves using daggers since she can hide them when fighting giving her the element of surprise, she also knows a range of healing spells which can aid her comrades in battle but she can also hinder the enemy with some ailment spells.
When she is in her animal form, she is very lethal, she has a cat like appearance, with purple fur, with sharp fangs and very sharp claws, but her strength is about 5 times more than when she is in her humanoid form, she is also faster and she loves to attack her prey in a more stealthier fashion, her animal form is also slender and graceful and her clothes transform in to armor to protect her vital parts.
Ramal Ytil’ataf
Race: La’turbian
Like all La’turbians Ramal has four arms, but unlike most La’turbians, he tries to avoid conflict at all costs, he is of the intellectual kind of La’turbian.
He likes to study everything about the universe and the species that live in it and he loves to adapt new cultures. He is kind, gentle and a logical creature, who always exhausts every other option before resorting to violence, with his vast knowledge of the universe he almost always resolves conflict with conversation.
He has hazel colored eyes and has a different type of La’turbian body, his was transparent when he was born, making him a rare type on his home world and by eating minerals or precious stones his skin changes color and attribute according to the metal or precious stone he last ate.
He wears full body armor which was modified by his best friend to be able to withstand alien atmospheres and weather conditions, which is of a metal gray color, sometimes he also likes to wear glasses without any lens, due to his fascination with human trends.
He usually uses violence as a last resort but when he his forced to fight, he uses the deadly La’turbian arts, which is a kind of martial arts but using four arms and with his titanium like reinforced skin, he is the “tank” of the group, he is also and expert in fire arms and explosives making him as lethal as any elite La’turbian solider.
Rucksus “Ruck” Bowin
Race: Econite
Rucksus is an Econite from one of the colonies that the Econites founded during their first space exploration.
He has two scars running down his left eye (he has one scar above his eye and another underneath his eye), he also has some scars on his arms and legs, he has a tattoo on his right shoulder, that signifies that he is from his home village. He is an Econite of the canine variety so he has a medium sized tail which is of a sandy color just like his hair.
Ruck has a kung-fu fighting style which he usually combines with a staff, a staff that was given to him by his grandfather who came in contact with some Jamberian refugees who built a retractable titanium and diamond staff, allowing him to create deadly combos, since he is an Econite he also has the capability to use healing spells and even though they do not rival Liza’s they certainly help him about in a pinch.
In his animal form he takes the form of a wolf like creature he has long ears and lots of sandy colored fur, he has heighten sense of smell, strength, speed and reaction capabilities, he also has the power to stand on his hind legs and deal devastating blows to his opponents. Like Liza he has heighten sense of smell and reactions even in his human form.
Victoria SAT5
Race: Biometrian
A Biometrian who participated in the Procestian war, Victoria has android like skin, which is almost discreet, but due to the joints in her extremities and head it is obvious that she is not human. She has purple fluid that runs through her veins due to the process of change she is experiencing from changing from a Drifter to a Calm.
She loves to express herself and loves the fact that she can feel, she also has a very extrovert personality and loves meeting and analyzing new people. She doesn’t like to fight but knows that she has to in order to survive, she has violent flash backs in her memory drive due to the horrors of violence and death that she experienced in the Procestian war. During that time she became a Drifter when her “brother” was killed by a Jamberian thug, but when she witnessed the horrors of what the Drifters were capable of, she decided to run away, thus turning her in to one of the Calm, but the process was taking longer than she expected thanks to her subconscious hate towards the Jamberians which she tries hard to extinguish.
During her escape she tumbled across a rare transformer core, which she self installed into her body making her able to transform into any object she pleases and thanks to this power she was able to escape Procestious and be free.
Her fighting style is primarily of hand to hand combat and thanks to her unlimited strength and reactions she can pack a punch. Since she has a transformer core inside her she can transform any part and even her whole body into a weapon making her even more deadly in combat, she also has a very advanced computer system for a brain so she can develop tactics and discover her enemies weakness in a short period of time.
